I bought this today and am hoping I paid an okay price! I paid $550. Obviously it needs some TLC but I thought the price was okay due to the originality of the piece. Original crystal, crown, dial is beautiful, never polished, the bracelet is missing the clasp however. Is it possible to find a replacement? I have yet to get the back off but as soon as I do I will show you guys!!

Excellent find at a good price. It is important that you NOT get the case polished. The case appears in original condition, the lug edges are sharp and the high-polished factory diamond-polished surfaces cannot be replicated on a buffing wheel. The factory diamond-polished surfaces are very distinct. It was Aurel Bacs of Phillips who discusses this briefly in one of his videos on vintage watches.

Thank you all! This is definitely one of my bucket list Omega watches. I will 100% never have the case polished, I am very picky when it comes to polished cases. I hope to have movement pictures tomorrow. The watch is currently in running order as well but could obviously use a service.

At 550$, I’d have expected the dial to be ruined. What a bargain, you did great there - congrats!

Many thanks everyone! I am exploring my options of watchmakers to do this job for me. I can't wait to be able to wear it when it is all fixed up. I bought the gold plated buckle clasp cover and will have the remaining gold removed from it.

Also, I don't intend on ever selling this piece but what do you guys think the value of it could be in this original condition? Assuming I get it serviced and what not.

It's definitely a 168.005, so with original crown and crystal. In serviced condition with the bracelet, you could probably sell this for 1.5-2k USD.
