ive been into vintage watches for a number of years and have owned several omegas. im no expert and buy what i like the look of but in the last few years ive got fed up with paying for services and things that go wrong just after you buy them or having to wait several months to get them back. i use to say i would never buy a modern watch but last week bought a speedmaster mk ii. i thought i would get this model as it is similar to the 1969 version which i have owned. i love my new watch and would probably buy new or newish watches in the future.

One of the very few modern watches by Omega that I really like, great choice and congrats 😀

IMO a reissue how it should be done, close to the original, but with a few modern twists.

Congratulations on the purchase. This is a great tribute to the original Mk II.

Waiting to get your watch back from a service is always a pain but I find I appreciate them more when they return 😉

Hi

Sorry for intruding on your conversation, I’m new to this forum and I am struggling to see how I place an ad on here. I’m wanting to sell my 1952 seamaster chronometer caliber 352.
Could you tell me how you do this as I’m using my I phone.
Apologies for sounding thick ha ha.

Congratulations, I tried one of these a few years ago and was really impressed with it. Yours looks great!

I just bought the original recently, they're both great on the wrist.

Great watch! I too am a vintage watch guy over modern. Like you I get tired of setting and maintenance so at this point most of my vintage pieces are just for show and rarely have the correct time. Something my girlfriend makes fun of me for constantly lol

Nice watch, I still have my Mk II that my wife gave me as an engagement gift in 1972, still runs like a champ with minimal maintenance.
