My Experience, Seamaster Bullhead

Purchased New, Received February 24, 2020...

OMEGA promotes the Seamaster Bullhead (caliber 3113) to have a power reserve of 52 hours yet the instructions indicate 44 hours.

Nonetheless, I tested my watch three times (various winding). It stopped at 32, 33, and 36 hours. Not nearly 44 and far from 52. Also, it is gaining approximately 8 and 11 seconds per day with the crown in the left and down positions respectively.

An embarrassing performance for a new OMEGA? In my opinion, this is a complete malfunction of the watch.

The watch is being returned.

disheartening to hear. The bullhead is growing on me. Strikingly cool and unusual watch.

What do you mean by "various winding"; The power reserve of 44 hours(accordind to the manual) means it takes 44 hours from full power to zero, meaning that you have to fully wind it...

The instructions don’t indicate how much to wind the watch. As such, I snuck up on a final wind of 50 turns of the crown. At that amount it was uncomfortably difficult to turn. I feared over-winding, I didn’t want to risk snapping the crown off a new watch.

It is a unique and beautiful timepiece, I recommend purchasing and taking delivery directly from a boutique. I purchased mine on-line from OMEGA. As such, it was delivered. The watch was almost completely dislodged from the pillow, hanging on by one strap.

Yes you probably fully wound the watch. If it's fully wound and the power reserve isn't 44 hours as stated then I think that you should go to the nearest Omega Boutique and see what can be done about this problem😉

Maybe just me but returning it seems like a bit of an overreaction. It's purchased new, take it to the boutique and get them to test it and resolve the issue. They'll surely go out of their way to get it right and no company will release 100% of their products with absolutely no issues, it's how they resolve those issues that gives an indication of their customer service and my experience with Omega has been good in that regard.

I’d rather return the watch under the 14 day return policy then go to a boutique to purchase a new watch.

While OMEGA has been helpful, I wouldn’t say that they’ve been going out of their way. I’m returning the watch under the 14 day return policy.

Love it and have been hankering after one for a while. The ones I have seen have busy dials styles. Your black dial is a beauty. How does it wear on the wrist? Thanks.

Comfortable. It sits flat and fills my 6” wrist. It’s thick, sitting proud on the wrist. It’s stunning in person.
