Got my Constellation back and it looks great! Totally unpolished and keeping good time. The calendar rapid advance mechanism was the only think broken and was fixed. However, there is still a slight problem... the clasp cover I bought on Ebay turned out to not be good. It doesn't catch on the bracelet and therefor doesn't close at all. I will be getting a nice leather strap so I can wear it around until I get the bracelet figured out!! Any suggestions? I prefer thin straps over padded ones. Maybe just a nice alligator or lizard?

You did not post detail pics of the clasp!!
But what I see is a disapointed Omega owner when that braclet fails. It is stretched & well worn.
The spring bars are ready to sprunganz into the unknown! Take the band off the watch, heat up a cupp of water in the micro oven, pull the cup out & toss that band in the cup of water. Maybe toss in a tablet of denture cleaner. Let it soak a few day.
Pull it out & scrub it with a tooth brush using a dish washing soap, rinse with fresh water. Than take a good look at that band.
Don't lose a Constalation over a warn strap!
Cheerio! Mike

End of buckle needs a little tapping to straighten out. Flaps need a little bending to catch properly, so it snaps shut.

Maybe thats why the end of the clasp was bent
