MWR Forum account problem

Hello I registered for this website last year, when I got my first Omega 2292.

I've never since registering been allowed to post anything, nor edit anything in my own profile, nor access all of the forums.

I do not understand what the problem is, and I can't even message other users (or mods) for help.

Everything I click on I get an error:

I cannot find any activation emails in my inbox, nor do I recall receiving one. I also can't find anywhere to request another on the site. Or perhaps my account was activated when I created it last year and I can't remember.

Anyhow, I can't access anything and I don't know what to do? Any advice with this?

Ollie, I wish I could help but I'm having the same problem. Someone from MWR needs to approve my registration and no one seems to be doing it. I have tried for months now to get activated without success.

They now increased their security I think. You need to login to be able to view. @Syrte may be able to assist

There are two separate things.

1/ the forum now requires to sign on in order to be able to view forum content.

2/problems activating an account:
when you sign up you receive an activation email with a link or something you need to click. Accounts stay in limbo if you don’t, I know someone to whom it happened here too-
have you checked your spam filters?
Of course if it’s been several months the email may have vanished.... feel free to pm me your email address and the nickname you used and I can pass on the message to the admins.

It took ages for me to get on too, but I think @Syrte has the solution. I emailed several times and eventually got a response.

very friendly forum*, so do persevere!

*disclaimer: I only ever really hang around the vintage Smiths sub-forum, but they are all lovely!

You need to really follow up by email with them. They have a mod approve all accounts and they are not very responsive. Eventually someone will respond.

The email mentioned frequently on the site is [email protected] to get in touch with any issues so if you’re having difficulty with the contact us page at the bottom (seems to be fine for me) you can maybe try that email as well.

The « contact link » is that same email address @dsio.
However and since I’m a moderator on that forum I will make sure to pass on everyone’s details so the activation problems can be looked into.
The team is quite small (and unfortunately I’m not one of the techies) so please everyone bear with us.

@OllieOnTheRocks and @wagudc (I assumed you used the same nickname on MWR) your MWR account registrations have been finalized and you should be good to go. Please check.

@rbob99 you didn’t send me any info but we already have a user registered with that name since 2012, last activity in 2019– and two registration requests with variants of that name.
Is that you and if so, you could just use your initial active account which is still active.
If not, feel free to send me a pm so we can sort it out.
