How a full set looked in 1960, notice the note that says: "By removing the loose velvet bottom lining this case can be transformed into a handsome cigarette box"

I was admiring @Grinderman’s Movado and, as you do, looked on eBay in case I might be tempted.

This is on at £495 but within a short time I received an offer at £450. I’m not going for it so if anyone else fancies a Movado ….

Reviving this thread because Movado is awesome. 😀

This is an early 60s Kingmatic with automatic caliber 531. Tiny crown is an absolute pain to use.

Here's my Sub-Sea, tropical dial. I love the logo and the sub-second simplicity. Keeps good time too.

😜

Edit: I posted a 'dot' watch before @jhross98 let me know about this being a vintage thread. Oops.

Also heard about it being viewed the equivalent of Invictas. Heh. 😁

yep. .from the m90/m95 to this nothing but net

invicta anyone ?

Invicta? Really? It may not be to your taste, but this 1947 design was selected in 1960 for the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, (the first watch dial awarded this distinction), after which the watch became known internationally as the Museum Watch.

Here is mine in 14k gold, from the 1960s, with date.
