What a stunning piece! Do you have a picture with the strap attached to it?

I'm waiting for custom straps to arrive in a few weeks. Once they do, I'll post a few pictures.

As requested:

That looks so cool! The colour of the leather straps complements the dial perfectly. Not the biggest fan of the bund though.

Its not for everyone -- I have pictures of it on just the strap here on my IG page if you want to know what they look like without it.

Thanks @Flatfoot ! I am loving it!

I know that Gay Freres gets the glory when it comes to vintage bracelets. But after handling my Movado bracelet personally, I actually prefer it to my Kontiki GF from the same period.

This is absolutely glorious!

I was in instant lust with this one as soon as I saw it. My lighting is making that dial a little more yellow than it really is. The partial breguet numbering, the "tasti tondi" pushers, blued steel hands.

Despite being a 32mm, it actually wears bigger as it is a chunky boy in the way it sits off the wrist. I also have 6.5 inch wrists so this size of watch works well for me.

I spoke to Rich Fordon before pulling the trigger, and he had this to say:

"This is the earliest type of FB case used by Movado and rare enough that I didn’t even include it in my original article... a mistake really is all. Just so few examples and hard to draw conclusions. This looks original to me. Case is in excellent condition, dial patina is even and looks like it has a nice look. That being said, I’m not sure I’ve seen one of these sell this high" (cough yes it was expensive, yes I am probably crazy)

"The printing on the six o’clock subdial is darker than the rest. Ive seen this on other examples and it doesn’t scream redial or refinished to me. I believe it was a original Movado detail on these early M95s"

Picked up a 19038 cased M95. The case is on the soft side but I love the dial. 😀

I quickly sold the one posted above to fund a different m95…picked up the panda on the left to join my inverse! Also found a NOS bracelet to pair with it.

This extremely rare Movado was just sold for EUR 17.500 excl almost 40% fee at a small French auction house. Described as ‘MOVADO. Montre bracelet, le boîtier rond en acier, signé. Cadran fond crème, à chiffres arabes, signé. Trotteuse centrale, double compteurs. Aiguilles en acier bleu’ with an estimate of EUR 50-80 🤨
