The author presumes that production was steady or continuous Year in Year out. Is there anything to support that?
To be honest: I don't think so but it makes sense to assume something like this

Just bought my first M90 and struggling to find decent info out apart from the SJX and Rescapement articles which focus more on the M95. I also have The Movado History book but it’s mostly pictures without much scholarship attached. Anyone point me towards some good reading?

Very nice one!

Well good luck with that. The article I posted from Emiliano on references and numbering is - IMHO - very interesting. Furthermore there are some non public info sources a.o. my database which contains almost 500 examples (including pictures of the dial).

This 19048 showed up in one of my searches today:

Another interesting one is this 19043 Abdul Aziz Al Saud King: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq4zavhS9wl/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

9002 whereby the 'anti magnetic' printing on the dial has almost vanished: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq0tL5JvCgD/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Just purchased this but after looking suspect it has almost certainly been touched up. These don’t often come up for sale but I’m undecided whether to just take it on the chin or ask for a refund. The price was very good, but finding another dial will be almost impossible

If the seller represented the dial as original, then you are due a return for a refund.

If they were silent, then it is on your as a buyer to recognize this poor redial and any return/refund would be at their discretion.

It was described as an ‘original dial’
