路路The black sheep in the Spee-ee-eee-eedmaster flock
I don鈥檛 keep a spreadsheet (don鈥檛 tempt me) but I do tag every watch photo with pertinent information, so I searched in Photos on the various tags and 2024. In first place was my Planet Ocean.
Tied in second place were my Speedmaster Professional and Globemaster.
I have a keyboard shortcut for each watch so it鈥檚 easy to apply all the tags in one fell swoop when I take each picture. The problem is remembering the shortcuts for watches I wear less often.
With a half-dozen Speedmasters to choose from, and a fair number of other watches as well, it's remarkable how often I reach for this watch: a plain ol' vanilla 1861 Hesalite on a NATO. I'm pretty sure it's in first place for times (and hours) worn this year.
Interesting that most tend to wear tool watches.
I generally wear a watch when I go out of the house. I choose from a collection of about 50 watches (the only tool watch I have is a vintage Bulova Accutron Astronaut - fantastic watch btw). That said, my most worn watch of 2024 is probably this one:
It's a wonderful 1948 art-deco Longines with cal.23M and solid rose-gold case. The dial has tons of character.
