I am not sure if they are under rated but probably more niche than other models. If you are going to spend quite a lot of thousands on a watch then one consideration would be its ability to go with everything. I am a fan of blue watches but a considerable amount of my wardrobe is also blue, so maybe a blue watch is a bit much. No one wants to go around looking like a smurf, unless you happen to be a smurf of course.

Blue is my favourite colour so I'm happy to walk around looking like a smurf (and own the Blue Side of the Moon).

Speedmaster 38. Other than the possibility of tritium, I don't really understand why people tend to prefer the Speedmaster Reduced when looking for a smaller Speedy.

50th anniversary Speedmaster: column wheel, vitreous enamel dial - that’s a pretty good start...

I think its such a nice piece. I love the CK2998 proportions, case shape and size and I love the fact that this is a pulsations bezel watch.

Ultimately, it's different from every other speedmaster produced recently (last 15 years). I don't recall any other recent pulsations speedmaster. Although I could be wrong, perhaps you can still order speedy pro's with a pulsations bezel? Plus I think the mix of slightly off white black and red is a very nice.

I love a good dial and a I love a watch that is different from the mainstream, this ticks both boxes, for me anyway.

+1 on the HB-SIA.

The only negatives for me were the carbon dial and the slightly odd font.

Me the only negative is it's case size, but I really want it! That plane is making me go nuts, the watch does everything.

CK2998 is gorgeous but I wouldn't categorise it as underrated its won plaudits and sold out. You can't find it anymore.

Fair point.

Just wish I saw it more or it was more discussed. Guess the limited nature has something to do with it. I don't recall it getting much praise when announced. Certainly nothing like the feeding frenzy of the ultra man or original speedy Tuesday with radial dials.

Still not really sought after, I tried to sell mine a while ago.

The HB SIA speedmaster

Another vote for my longtime favorite - the HB-SIA. Not only is it a numbered edition, it was notable for being Omega's first titanium Speedmaster ever. Love the hat tip to the Lemania 5100 in the GMT hand too. Just last year when I was traveling a ton (RIP air travel), it was easily my most-worn watch in rotation.

To me clearly the 3210.ish references

Great Looking timepieces with a rocksolid movement and fantastic colourplay on the dial. But nobody else appreciates that (imho).

This is a 3210.52.00

Cheers,

Winny

Yay I feel so lucky to have landed one of the last new pieces of the Apollo 17th 45th this year. The blue and gold combos are just gorgeous. The watch stops traffic lol. Why it didn't breakout beats me.
