If Rolex made the first ever watch with revolutionary new technology and put it in a solid gold case 50 years ago, how much do you think you'd need to pay for that? A lot more than $10k, I'm guessing.
To be honest... even not working, I think that's a hell of a deal. Finding someone who can fix it would be tough, but not impossible. The date version is the 2nd ref, from 1970. The first ref, from '69 was a no date.
