Pop quiz: what's the most important watch ever made with regards to the impact it had on the industry, the way it changed what people bought, the effect it had on the fortunes of watch companies?

If Rolex made the first ever watch with revolutionary new technology and put it in a solid gold case 50 years ago, how much do you think you'd need to pay for that? A lot more than $10k, I'm guessing.

To be honest... even not working, I think that's a hell of a deal. Finding someone who can fix it would be tough, but not impossible. The date version is the 2nd ref, from 1970. The first ref, from '69 was a no date.
