Tony confirmed that not all bezels are brushed, there are diamond cut ones too.

Which appears to be what the three of us have.

This watch, on opening, appears to have never been serviced... all looking groovy. 馃憤

Has been left with Tony at STS for a very gentle refinish, crystal, full mechanical service and seal... excited to see how this one comes out. 馃榾

Note how yours, like mine, has marks on the bezel that would surely have been polished away had it been refinished.
That is another reason why i thought it was strange.

Great info. Thanks.

Looks gorgeous!!! What was the turn around like at STS?

I'd like to eventually do something like this, pick up a piece in not so great condition and get it turned around!

Does it work out more cost effective than buying one in good condition? (if you don't mind me asking)

It was around 4 weeks on this one - I dropped it in, and have a good relationship with them, so not sure if that's quicker than normal or not. They quote 4-6 weeks typically.

Depends what you mean by "good condition" really - the case work and crystal were part of an overall service (which this watch badly needed, and had from the look of things not been serviced in the past) - I now have a serviced, refurbished watch with a 2 year warranty.

I see watches in "good condition" with no history of recent service, for more than I'm in to this for. 馃え

I see your point, you don't exactly get the two year warranty with a seller off ebay! Food for thought .

Depends where you are located. In European countries you typically have a one year statutory warranty when buying from a professional seller!
