Took awhile for this to arrive since USPS is broken. I was a bit surprised the coined bezel is guilt. I was sort of looking forward to a SS one like the C case constellation 1345. Still this is nothing to sneeze at the edges look sharp, and there is no service award engraving on the back. These are good solid watches and I am always surprised how much heft they have to them.

May have another 1342 movement arriving tomorrow or the next day. I already have a movement without a case, but is missing a few parts and has a bad motor. I forget if that movement has a dial or not. Sometimes it is easier just to get the whole thing.

It is interesting how the lighting on the auction photo makes the bezel look white.

Always curious why someone should pull the movement. Cases like this are harder to come by, although sentimentality could factor.

There is not a real love for quartz. I personally think this caliber group is underrated, more mechanical than the stamped out ones that followed. I still think a modern uC chip could operate one. Motor is a bit tricky, on the other hand it is a motor, and most people understand motors. Those little single pole things used in most clocks and watches are boring.

These have the full data sheets. Which make for really nice bedside reading.

Are you looking for a silver bezel one? I may have a NOS one in my parts box for "future Projects" 😁

ya gotta love the post office ... The green paint still smelled wet.

The sender used good shipping practice, and the movement arrived in good shape.
It is always nice to get a full set of hands. The dial is in decent shape as well. These cases are not the easiest to open.

Should be another fun project.
