    Hi Matt,

before recommending anyone of the above; are we talking a recent, or vintage Speedmaster here?

    Makes quite a difference, imho.

Since the question is asked on the Vintage sub-forum, I think we can safely assume it's about a vintage watch ;)

Good point, still, the key with having a vintage watch serviced is never to assume... And a picture doesn’t hurt anyway! ;)

I can honestly recommend Simon Freese.

When I was looking for a watchmaker, one of recommendations was also https://cjnwatch.co.uk/

Maybe I was just unlucky but when I reached out to Simon Freese for a service earlier this year my firs email went unanswered. A couple of weeks later I sent s fresh one and got a reply a couple of days after that offering me a slot 2 months later. I replied the next day saying that was fine, please tell me what the next steps are and I never heard back

Gave up at that point since the responsiveness was so poor. Maybe he’s so busy with repeat customers he doesn’t need new ones. Fair enough but in that case no point pretending you’re open for business, it’s just annoying
