Mmm. I wonder if ordering it and immediately cancelling would be enough to provoke the release gods into action…
Those of you who are waiting for the new edition will be pleased to hear that I ordered the current one today.

So you can now expect an imminent announcement of the 4th edition!

I thought it sounded very interesting until I read the price! One digit out of my league for a book unfortunately.
Agree!
Comparing it to Magister, who has had the good fortune to experience both??

At $290 now?!
I think that's more-or-less what they've been retailing for over the last years... Looks like v3 is discounted to $225-ish.

When the 3rd edition was announced a webshop in UK had it a discounted price of about $130, a lot of OF members ordered one.

What's the added value of the "Magister" photo book compared to the well-researched "Moonwatch Only" ?

Magister is a good coffee table book but Moonwatch Only is better for research.

Nothing, Magister has some really great photos, and it’s a great addition to the bookshelf if you don’t mind the price. Moonwatch Only still remains the true gem, featuring (pretty much) all vintage references, and it’s a great source of information. It might not be an A-to-Z reference, but if they included everything they know, the book would probably have 2000 pages.

The Moonwatch Dials book is truly a coffee-table book and feels very special. The quality of the paper, the handcrafting that went into making the book, the truly outstanding photos and the fun see-through pages showing the bezel and case, followed by the next page showing only the dial. It’s really a fun book! Very expensive, but I’ve never regretted buying it.

I have MWO 3d which has all the historical info I need. My completionism complex doesn’t extend to book editions. To justify the MSRP price of another edition I will probably be waiting for at least the 5th.

None of this is said to diminish how excellent I think MWO is in general. I think it is a must have for anyone who wants to dive into details of the moonwatch.

You've made me curious, but unfortunately the price is still above my threshold😕.
Besides, I have the first edition and Magister.
