Saw this over on the "other site" this morning, and was surprised that it hadn't been mentioned here. There's a 2nd edition of MWO being released this month to correspond with Baselworld: http://www.watchprint.com/detail_en.php?catID=11045&papID=watchprint Currently available for pre-order from watchprint, but curiously no mention of it at all on the MWO website.
Strange, it seems that only the English version refers to the new extended edition (French and Italian still display the old edition), and I can't access to pre-order?
566 pages! 1st Edition is just short of 500. Really happy to own the first Edition, being 10% lighter and slimmer, it is a real pocket book.
Currently MoonWatch Only (edition 2015) appeared in three languages (English, French and Italian) Their website lists some erros/typos & mistakes which will be corrected in the new edition (the current English edition sold out).. However, so far I have read the best update on the Speedmaster's history in this book (January 2017): Omega Speedmaster ASTP the first https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-speedmaster-apollo-soyuz-the-first-guide.35718/ Info: http://watchprint.com/detail_fr.php?catID=11045&papID=watchprint
Looking forward to the new MoonWatch Only edition ! superb initiative... book collectors know that the first edition of a book (with its typos & mistakes) always becomes a special collector's item. .
I just picked up the first edition on Amazon once it dropped below $200. It even arrived undamaged believe it or not.
I bought it too once it was pretty owned I believe...I believe I am well knowledge on the newer models...Great book esp vintage speedys
It does, see this topic: https://omegaforums.net/threads/moonwatch-only-–-60-years-of-omega-speedmaster.54229/
