It's amazing to see how riled up people get over a plastic watch...😁

Hey archer, it's funny. There were some mediums that foresaw the fall of the moonwatch and the end of omega.

All worked up……..nah, got far more important things that haven’t managed to get me worked up.
But the corporate bullshit and greed that exploits the stupidity of a market hyped up by idiot influencers and even more moronic celebrities… it all makes my lip curl.
I don’t bother to queue up locally for stuff I need, so the whole idea of travelling to queue up, on a full moon, to get a gimmick, utterly astounds me!

This is beyond pissing in your pocket…… it’s shitting on your leg and calling it a brown kitten…... And then the idiots line up to play with the aforementioned brown kitten!
But I must say that I do enjoy ridiculing all of the dickheads involved.

Even here, on this forum, all I read is frustration and anger. It’s sad to say but these releases really bring out the worst in people.
It’s a novelty watch. Yes, it’s completely driven by hype, fomo, and the challenge of ‘trying to score one’. So what.

Brighten up ::facepalm1::

Like it or not, as a for profit company, you'd be stupid not to, when knowing that you can.
Can't blame Swatch Group, but can certainly blame the hype beasts if you need to blame someone.
I mean, isn't Rolex sort of doing the same thing? Lol ::stirthepot::

You'll never see Rolex applying materials only under full moon, and selling only in four cities until next full moon...
If it was April's fool, it would sound too obvious.

The only reason Rolex tried this stunt is that they didn’t think of it first…….. that’s not to say they’re not currently busy coming up with their own angle, so as they can claim a first

Next year is a leap year, what's Swatch going to do for February 29th? That day only comes around every 1,461 days, if that isn't worthy of a special watch, nothing is.

I think you just asked them to make a solid gold quartz chronograph with a perpetual calendar. Only available on 2/29.

I like the looks of it the gold hand looks cool. If I could easily walk into a store or order online (at msrp) I’d happily pick one up. So this one, like many other watches is unobtainable to me and tbh there are many watch I really like that I can’t get for numerous reasons. Similar to some cars, houses and the list goes on. But you can’t always get what you want, where would I put it all anyway.

I think the “made under a full moon” is a little gimmicky but I guess that fits with omegas history so it makes sense. Then I had someone come to my office today and my goodness he stunk to high heaven. It was obvious by his presentation he had groomed prior to our meeting so I just had to poke around as I didn’t want to make him feel bad turned out to be his sneakers as they kept getting wet and dry eventually developing a truly rancid smell which he said was embarrassing him to no end but he was in s bind couldn’t get new sneakers. I was able to give him my back up pair and put in a request for clothing for the poor dude.

I only bring that up as perspective. I may not have my fifty fathoms or the other 10’s of thousands of watches over my head but in all honesty my cats are living better than some people. And yes in three days I’ll forgot this event and curse my lack of a fifty fathoms that I don’t need.

I still would like to obtain a bio plastic plastic moonswatch but things will continue just fine if I don’t get one. I think the whole move was good for swatch group as the few coworkers I had who liked my omegas, especially my speedy auto which I tried to explain to them wasn’t a moon watch but they didn’t seem to get it, anyway they were happy as hec when they got there’s. I think one of them got a fake one but I didn’t want to say anything. So anyway I like the darn thing won’t be getting one unfortunately but as soon as I get my mommy straightened out in her new assisted living place lll be back on the hunt for something decent. I like watches, they are cool.

Sounds like you do good work and definitely have a great perspective of life ! I’m with you…. Count my blessings every day even though I don’t have my dream car, boat, watch… whatever.
