    Morning guys.
Been watching this for a few days and had posted it in another thread but nobody really answered to it. I asked the seller for better pics than in the listing originally and they complied. This is pretty spot on for what I had been looking for in a Calender, short of the date at 6 (that too is on my radar). Dial and case look genuine and in decent shape but hands seem a little off, the lume slot on the hour hand looks larger than others I found on the web, but I am not an expert in the nuances of Omega..yet. Seller has 6 feedback and no returns, so it is a gamble, although a US location so if grossly misrep'd or dead beat seller there is possible recourse.

Looks a little bit like my Ref. 2849, but should be another reference! Has other hands (relumed?) and another crystal.
    No movement pics?

No movement pics. Guy isn’t a watch guy, just someone who liked it and bought it for himself and is now selling it as he never wears it.

Is it possible for him to send you photos of the insides?

Ha! Nevermind, you just answered my question. As long as there is an opportunity for a return, then I'd make the purchase.

I would rather him not open it since he doesn’t know what he’s doing nor has the tools. He said it has been serviced and told me where he had it done

Without the reference, I am not sure about hands and crystal. Have seen those hands at some references and have seen such crystals at some semasters for sale. But that means nothing, because I do not know the reference number. Unfortunately, I am kind of new to these old seamaster watches....

I'm suspicious of those hands, they look relumed. Given that it looks like a front opening case, I'm not surprised by the lack of movement shots. I also don't think the crystal is original (cyclops seems big for the date window). Under $300, worth a flyer. More than that is risky.

Crystal has the omega if you look close, wether a factory replacement or not doesn’t much matter to me, crystals get replaced all the time. Hands I agree, either relume or replacement. Dial is really clean though and case has appropriate wear and not overly polished it think. The dial is what I’m asking mostly about- is it original or a redial. I can replace hands if needed for not silly money.
I made an offer at $350 and he didn’t accept, said he is looking to get more out of it....so it is a risk.

I see nothing wrong with that watch apart from the fact that the hands appears to have been relumed, and even that's not certain without personal inspection. Otherwise it's pretty nice and I'm not surprised the seller won't take $350 - $450 is the starting bid with reserve not met.... The right watchmaker can relume the hands to a better colour if need be and then you'd have a not mint but still very decent unpolished example with a nicely-aged dial. Sometimes one can try to hard to pull things apart.

We’ll to close out this thread, the seller wants between $850-900 for it. He seems very nice but just not in touch with the watch market. I was tempted to educated him to the market place, but figure a thank you for your time will do.
When he can’t sel it for $800, then $700; then 500, maybe he’ll come.back round.

Watch is worth more than $350 in the Condition it’s in.

It's a Seamaster Calendar Ref. 2849. I think the hands are correct but almost certainly relumed. Crystal is non-original.

It's a nice watch that just needs a sympathetic relume of the hands during a service. $850 is overly hopeful on his part, but the $350 offer was probably not realistic IMO.
