·Hi all. First post and I've tried to read as much on here as I can before asking this and not really much further forward!
Was looking at a Seamaster 300M Pro, 210.30.42.20.04.001. Supposedly 2021 and bought new from AD a few months ago yet has Warranty (24/8/2021) Pict, and Chronometer cards showing a serial number beginning 830. Seller has not as yet provided photo's of the back of the watch nor produced a receipt despite my asking.
I also looked into another one in the US, described as new, but showing a serial number beginning 389.
1. Can a 2021 watch have a serial # belonging to 2007 - though I have read after 2000 the serial numbers shown online are not really accurate as Omega supposedly started issuing random 7 & 8 commencing numbers?
2. How can a 'new' US same model watch have a serial commencing 389?
Trying to learn more on this issue so any input is gratefully accepted.
