I wouldn't put this kind of money down on a watch, an i'm generally not a huge Rolex fan per se..apart from some early Bubble-backs and Oyster Precisions..but In this case I would gladly own particular example and with such a beautiful rose case and blue dial too..

This is why I don't go out shopping!

Ooooo, the model in the middle wears spectacularly on my wrist. I seriously considered the white gold version a couple years ago while in an AD on Maui.

Given the fact that I have 10 Rolex...I always feel stupid stating that they are largely overpriced... the Cellini however, I find to be a very good bargain... the irony however, is that they don't seem to hold their value...so goes the great Rolex paradox...the more overpriced pieces continue to go up in price...so possibly overpriced, but not overvalued...

In any case - I agree, the Cellini are Beautiful pieces, and are greatly under appreciated...

Love it!!

Reminds me of so many people I see who leave the designer label on the sleeve of their jacket/blazer/suit....I still don't know if it is intentional or just ignorance...every so often I'll see a 'wool/blend' label also left on....

Eradicated by the Public Health Service in the 1950s I think.

"We post more nonsense by 8AM than most people post all day!"

(Who remembers the old US Army ad?)

I do - and I've paraphrased it before in relation to watches. 😜

..... and we're quite capable of posting nonsense at any hour.

For those not in the know, the original tag line was "we do more by 9AM than most people do all day." I remember thinking, even at the time (I was 17 or 18) "Boy, that is EXACTLY the wrong message to send out to an adolescent male who is mostly about sleeping in." And it's not like they let you take the rest of the day off, either. 🍺
