Extremely rare and high collectible Military Wrist watch Longines from 1913.

The condition is amazing, no dents, no scratches, the case number match with the movement number.
102 year after, this unique watch still running with a strong tic and an incredible accuracy. This watch was made just prior to the start of World War I.
Winged clepsydra and the word "Longines" in the immaculate case.

The same year; 1913, Longines develops its first caliber chronographs for a wrist watch with a single push-piece: the 13.33Z.

The Longines Co. states that the first wrist watch was cased in 1905, so this watch was made 8 years after this date, this is one of this first generation wristwatches ever produce Longines, before 1920, when t he factory had a remarkable growth from 20 to 2.500 workers, who produced more than 122.000 pieces every year.
In 1930, Admiral Richard E. Byrd would arrive to the South Pole for the first time. His trips would always find him with a Longines on his wrist.

Caliber 11.62 , clean and oiled by a professional watchmaker.

33 mm wide without crown, the porcelain dial has some tiny hairlines, restored lumen in hands and dial, shines like in his better days.
