You really think a dealer with knowledge about watches would not get an archive to confirm it is a legit mil? I don't think so...
So I am pretty sure at least movement is not correct. Caseback can be engraved by pretty much everyone with the right equipment...

I would't buy.

Yeh that’s what I was thinking why hasn’t a dealer got a extract

That serial number would be nearer the mark for a W10 not a 0552, the case back marked -64 is odd, I would expect it to be without a year designation. Odd to sell it as a bag of bits with no extract when you are a dealer?

Old acquaintance... was auctioned by Bonhams in 2017... and did not sell. The S/N 22986300 by that time was not in the range and for a Mil SM300. So obviously someone bought a new movement... but did not do his homework. It's still not matching with a Royal Navy 0552, but as simonsaid with the Army W10 😁

Let’s see. It’s taken apart (if it was ever together in the first place). The dial doesn’t have a circled T AND the seller admits it has been relumed. Hands are a mess AND no clear shot of them.

$10,000.

Sounds like a bargain. 😉
