Hi all, i really like the black bezel mid size seamaster. Being new to omegas i am not sure though, did they make a mans automatic mid size with a black bezel? Ive seen a few quartz ones. Also i have "normal" wrists, betweeb 7.5 and 8" i think but i dont like big watches. A lot of the listings for these say for smaller wrists. Sorry if this is the wrong forum topic not sure if vintage or modern was appropriate.

Can you post some pics of the watch you’re considering? There have been quite a few Seamaster models with black bezels.

Personally, if your wrist is between 7.5 and 8, I’d go with the full size.l, and I’m not sure if this particular reference was made with a black bezel. You could try looking for a 2252.50 though, which I think is a much more attractive watch.

Also, for future posts, you’ll find users more responsive if you add pics to your post instead of links. It saves them a step, and preserves the information for other members who have a similar question in the future.

Here is a pic of the Watch in OP’s link:

Also, consider posting in the "modern Omega watches" section. I am not quite sure where the line between vintage and modern is drawn but mostly watches here in the vintage section are from the eighties and back (and especially from the 40's, 50's and 60's).

I have a small wrist and this is what the 2 sizes look like

And I'd go with the 36mm but I also would very rarely wear anything near to the 40-42mm standard that many men's watches seem to have today. I don't like my watch to be the first thing people notice if that makes sense.

Hahaha, I see. Still, I think the 42mm looks a bit preposterous on a wrist like yours (and mine).

I agree, but it is also because that model is quite thick, my Yema is flatter but longer lug to lug for example

In the absolute, I agree with you, but these watches are in my rotation, so I wear them when I feel in an "in your face" mood 😀

I thought that you were considering the watches, not owning them. Sorry for calling your watch a bit preposterous then! However, I completely agree. It is the height of the Omega that makes it wear bigger. I like the Yema too. And I also like how the background of the pictures all seem to have a food/vine or dog theme, haha!

No worries, no offense taken haha... I can be preposterous, part of my charm I guess lol

Both are borderline, but the one that probably will go is the Yema. The Seamaster Chronograph is a keeper for now 😀

Neo, the dog, is my shadow I'm afraid

Pretty good looking shadow, though. Do people even notice your watch when Neo's by your side?

Nope... He's getting all the attention for the past 9 years I'm afraid!

He knows how to get attention too but we are diverting from the subject 😀

The modern seamaster 300m are supersized in my view, rather go for the vintage original dive sizes and dial/hand readibility. Small is the new big😉
