Hi,
First post as a new member, so please be gentle! Glad to be a new part of the community.

I have the above watch, see photo attached. The crown no longer screws in to the case tube. My watch servicer says the watch needs a new case tube, but we can not find any information on the Omega part number for the case tube, so I can source an original replacement. Can anyone provide this information please and where I can get one from?
I already have a new replacement crown to also fit (if required).

Thanks in advance.

Still no replies? If this request is on the wrong forum page, doesn't have enough information, or isn't of interest to anyone then please at least let me know.

I think
Omega 090ST1242

Go to cousinsuk web page and take a look through online catalog

I'm not saying it is that part # , just what I found when I took a look

Without checking, I think 1242 is the He valve tube so you're right to be cautious.

To the OP, you want a pendant tube and, your best bet is to find a watchmaker who can source this for you and not someone who asks you to find the parts your watch needs.

Thank you for the information!
I wasn't aware of the CousinsUK website, but have registered and it looks really useful.
From the website, for my case 196.1641, there are 2 parts that could be right:

1. 090ST1242 Stainless Steel Case Tube (that is "restricted", so not available)

and

2. Pendant Case Tube, Threaded, Omega 090ST1232 (that is available at £10.96)

Does anyone know which is the correct part for the case tube for the main crown that is used for adjusting the hands (not the He valve tube) ?

Thanks

Pete

Sorry Chris, just noticed that you said I need the pendant tube, so 090ST1232 - correct?

Kwijibo - thanks. Yes I just noticed it has the following additional information against 090ST1232:
  • Case numbers 168.1623, Pendant tube for Titanium and Titanium & Gold Cases
  • Externally threaded for case
So I am a bit confused what is correct now?

If you're case not made of titanium, it's the other reference.

So, you are insisting again that the part number he needs is 090ST1242?

What are you basing your statements on?

Chris, Kwijibo,
Thank you for your support on this, it's much appreciated. So my assumption is, that for my stainless steel case, that I need 090ST1232 for the main case tube (for adjusting the hands and not for the He valve) - correct?

Just want to check!

Thanks

Kwijibo,
Any luck with the Omega Intranet please. I assume I don't have access?

Thanks

The correct case tube is 090ST1232. You should always replace the crown and case tube together if the threads on either are damaged.
