I fell victim to the dreaded US Postal Service, really non-service. Book was shipped on Jan. 7th and as other people were getting their's in 4 or 5 days I kept watching my mailbox which is 100 paces from my front door.....nada. I never heard anything until a pink second and FINAL NOTICE was left in my mailbox on Jan. 18th saying they have attempted delivery multiple times and they would be sending the book back on Jan. 26th. WTH? I looked up the tracking number on the notice and it says they attempted delivery on Sat, Jan. 11th which is BS, I was home all day.....they were just too lazy to walk across the street and knock on my door for a signature. They have pulled this stunt before, leaving notices in the mail box saying they attempted delivery and claiming no one was at home. I guess the book was too heavy for them, lazy union bastards. Post office closed on Monday for ML King holiday so I front up there this morning, lodge my complaint to which they had no response, and retrieve the book, 10 days after it should have been delivered. Better late than never but typical poor government service, no incentive for them to do things properly. At least the book is excellent. **end rant**
Looks like Books etc. 'readjusted' the shipping to the US, almost 34 pounds now for a total cost of 140 pounds, about $182. Still a pretty good price but not as good as it was (about $141). I think there must have been an error in their system because they were charging next to nothing for shipping before.
I've had a similar experience @Evitzee with time sensitive stuff like mail-in ballot.
For the most part they are pretty good, but then something like this happens...
Either way, glad to your you finally got the book, before they really shipped it back.
I thought it was cheap when I ordered mine and it was delivered to the Netherlands for just £1.25 being such a heavy package, even had track and trace on it. It's now £1.77 so still dirt cheap compared to small packages sent within NL.

It wasn't cheap, it was wrong. I just hope nobody lost his job with this obvious back-end configuration mistake.
Ordered late December and a couple of days ago.. I stayed up last night until 2am reading, I can tell I'm probably not going to get much sleep in the foreseeable future 📖☕
Could someone who owns the 1st and 3rd please do a quick assessment of what has actually changed from one book to the next? If the changes are adding a few LE watches, please do tell, since the info on 2915-1 through cal 861 should be pretty much the same. Any info on changes is appreciated.
Don't know if this has been mentioned but the outer dust jacket has a steel Speedmaster, but the actual cover of the book has a gold Speedmaster. Nice touch, best of both worlds.
I hate dust covers. I feel like they are an annoyance and always get destroyed, but I feel bad taking them off. 🙁
I used to put those plastic covers on that you see library books covered in but they are getting very hard to find as more and more stuff goes digital.
I reached out to the company about the shipping prices. This was their response I’m really sorry ,the cost to shipping to USA has gone up, we are actively looking for a new courier to help decrease our delivery charges.
