Massena LAB Release - a Uni-Compax reissue within days?

The big eye subdial seems to go to 30 instead of 45. There may be two dial variations (white and black). The logo may be "Massena Lab" with UG font.

All these suppositions result from the stories on IG.

I think the 30 minute counter is just a function of the movement that is used in the modern interpretation.

Yup. This is where I can't get too excited about reissues, homages or "in the style of" anymore. I bought several but I find I just don't wear them and ended up hunting down the watches they were trying to emulate. Even the ones that are reisusses of watches i could never afford (like a UG) - I know they aren't "real" and it will nag in the back of my head. I've slowly been selling my modern/vintage pieces off as I replace them with real vintage pieces. I guess I would rather have a real vintage Wakmann than a fake vintage UG.
600 or so bucks. When I want to wear a modern Uni. I’d love to see Etienne have a go at a higher price point with a Swiss movement.

Baltic looks really nice for the price point. Although they might want QC to review the dials, check the running seconds register on this one, Image is straight off their website as of right now. yikes.

This might be a stupid question, but why does it say "Manuel" under the Bicompax? Is that french for manual? If so, doesn't really make sense, as it would be the only word in french on the entire watch front and back? unless I'm missing something.

Not to get too derailed, but my nephew was asking for inexpensive watch recommendations, and I thought Dan Henry also looked interesting, at around half price compared to Baltic. They are using mecaquartz mvmts, not mechanical, and I haven't studied either brand in depth, but I think it's cool there are interesting and more reasonably prices watches around.

Yes
No contest vs the first version. I am selling my original black gilt version on eBay as we speak for this reason.

The dan Henry's are great.. But there is no contest when you have both in hand. I wish the Baltic had a better movement but it's in a completely different class than the dan henry.

So, on Sept. 18th, Massena posted a picture of Françoise Hardy in a racecar as a teaser-pic for the new release. So, does anyone know which watch(es) she owned?

Whatever it is this one's small, not a man's watch-

In the movie "Grand Prix" there were some real race car drivers in the cast - Jack Brabham, Jochen Rindt, etc.
