I'm selling my gold-capped Marvin Flying Dutchman Auto Date. I need to let some go of the watches getting no wrist time. Watch was discussed here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/marvin-watches-vintage.39490/#post-468337 The Flying Dutchman is powered by the 580C ("C" signifies it as a date movement) Marvin's only in-house, self-winding movement. The case is approx. 34mm (excluding the, what I believe to be, replacement crown) and 40mm lug to lug with an 18 mm lug width. To top it off the watch was serviced in April of this year (receipt will be supplied to the buyer) and the crystal was replaced last year. There is a photo from the original listing showing the crazing in the crystal. I'm asking $310, PayPal F&F, including shipping, within the United States. Returns accepted if watch is not as described. Please review the photos as they are considered part of the description. The movement photos were taken after service. Please feel free to PM with questions.
Geez! New (or even 'old'!) collectors, CHECK THIS ONE OUT! I would jump, but I already have one just like this that I paid TWICE this price for... BTW, I love the way on this model the second digit in the date is larger than the first to fill the asymmetric window; very cool detail!
Seriously these are freakin cool. If I wasn't in saving mode I would totally be all over this one. When I was looking a few months back nothing in this condition could be found, and everything worse off was much more. Love that bezel, and almost skin-diver style case.
Nice one! I'm so glad you got it! Be sure to start a Flying Dutchman thread when you get it .. (seems I remember one from the past, but it's been much too long ... ).
