Manual Winding PO 8900?

How often should I wind it? and how many 360 turns? I wear it 12+ hours everyday except Thursday and one of weekend days where it spends most of 24 hours stationary. So far it's OK but i heard power reserve has an effect on accuracy.

The one time I tried to wind it (after 10 hours stationary) I can not feel anything even after 30x360 turns. Is there any indication of it being fully wound? increased resistance? click sound (other people have mentioned for past movements). My other autos would have increased resistance after being fully wound.
Thanks!

360 turns?? My 8900 AT takes about 80 from a dead stop. I can hear a faint “click” from the main spring, but it’s much thinner than your PO. Please don’t give it 360 turns lol. I just wound my 2254 this morning and it took 65 turns. No resistance, just the faint click.

You shouldn’t need to wind it if you’re wearing it as often as you stated above. It’s got an automatic movement so it will wind itself as you move.

I think the OP was referring to 30 x 360 degree turns.....

It's perfectly fine without any need for winding based on your described wear habit.

This. The 8xxx and 9xxx movements have quite efficient bi-directional winding. I can leave my 9904 off the wrist for 2 days and it will be fully wound again after wearing it for less than a day in an office environment.

Keep in mind it's also not a bad thing if your watch fully winds down and stops (if you were for instance giving another watch some love and attention for a few days). With the quickset function you get it back to dead on accurate in no time (after 50 or 60 turns of the crown).

Am new to the forum and hello to everyone. This is my first Omega. After decades of being a Seiko fanboy. The question is, can I hand wind this SeaMaster. The Coaxial 8900?

But why you need to wind it? It's a great performance automatic movement. If you wear it every alternate day even then it'll work perfectly. A good robust watch indeed. Congratulations for taking a leap from Seiko to Omega.
