This thread might be the best I have ever came across on my time here on OF. In love with every single one of these pics. Wish I could take pics like this!
Wow, nice shots. I don't own macro lens at the moment, but trying to shoot with macro tubes. The problem is that image is not clear, it's a bit foggy, even when shooting at F8-11. I wonder how big difference is macro tubes vs macro lens?
Laowa sells a cheap 2.5-5x macro lens that could be nice for really close up shots. https://www.venuslens.net/product/laowa-25mm-f-2-8-2-5-5x-ultra-macro-2/ I want to shoot my Omega cal 320 to print out extra large and put on the wall. Perhaps need enough depth of field, F11, or focus stacking to get a super sharp image.
I am not an expert photographer but I quite enjoyed this mobile phone shot. Unedited - only cropped and turned to black and white.
A partial eclipse of my Jaeger & Benziger. In this light the black rhodium dial appears as a starry sky and subdial as a golden sun ..
Here's some macro shots of my Habring2. I'm always hesitant to take macro pics - you can see so many little imperfections that you would normally never see The heart: Bent Tip: Jumping seconds module: The date wheel:
awesome shots. I just started messing with macro. lighting is tough and composition is tricky, but its a whole new world down there...
