Hello,

Just wanted to share some pics of the aged tritium/ZnS lume of my 105.012s I recently took

Small particles are quite volatile and may and end up anywhere in the watch.
Large lume parts can detach from the hands after a shock or just normal ageing.

105.012-66 (not original hands but nice match with indexes patina)

105012-65 (relumed I guess)

Will soon make new pics of 1969s reference to compare

Cheers!
nice details

a little old Gallet chrono I strapped on today. I'm without my good macro lens so you get telephoto mode on Samsung s22.

Just upgraded to the iPhone 14pro and the built in macro feature is quite fun and can get surprisingly close, with good/usable detail. It can get closer than what I have below but my hand isn’t that steady.

Man, phones are getting too good. I'm curious when the phone photo algorithms will really start to out-compete traditional cameras.

Side note: I really wish I could buy your FXD. Why'd you decide to put it up for sale?

To be honest, I really don't even want to sell it. The only reason why I am is I am a full time student with just under 3 years left until I am finished. With that, I m on a very fixed watch budget and as I am trying to refocus my collection towards vintage divers/chronographs, several pieces have to go to fund this. I may just end up keeping this but there are a few pieces I would really love to have.

Ah, I hear you. My wife's back in grad school and our budget is reduced right now. We have disposable income, but I really bought 1-2 too many watches this year.

There are like 2-3 things in the sales section that have been on my wishlist for a long time, but I've gotta be an adult and save up for probably 6 months before I can splurge again.
