Hello Omega enthusiasts!

The bezel of my Seamaster 300 is a little bit loose and its turning really lightly. Does anybody know how to remove these bezels. My first try with a usual bezel renoval Tool didn‘t work.

After trying several bezel removal tools, this has been by far the best one I have ever used:
https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai...WMAxUEL0QIHW8TBccQwg8oAHoECAcQFA&nis=7&adurl=

If you look around, you should be able to find a good deal on a used one. If you opt for a generic brand, make sure it opens up to the diameter of your bezel. I have read many reviews on generics that they do not open as much as they claim.
Have you tryed it also on this Modell Seamaster 300?

That looks like it'll scratch the bezel and/or case, and I think that tool is meant to remove crystals.... it even says it on the title.

I use this AliExpress imitation tool of the real Omega tool used to remove dive bezels. Was like $25 years ago, though probably a bit more now. Just clamp and twist counterclockwise:

Thank you! Is there a way to repair or readjust the tourque you need to twist it?

You mean for the bezel itself? If it's a little tough to turn, there's this little paper clip-like thingy that's in the shape of an octagon (I don't what it's called) that sits inside the bezel as pictured below from Google Images. It's what keeps the bezel to the watch but also what the bezel slides on. The channel that this paper clip thingy sits on might need to be cleaned or lubricated.

As for your original post, it's likely just 1 or more of the 3 ratcheting prongs on the bezel spring that needs to be carefully bent upwards if it feels loose.

I’m all for some DIY but are you really going to experiment on a $5K watch? The bezel on this watch (i’ve had two) does turn very lightly out of the box btw when compared to most other omega models.

I would take it to a watch maker.

I have not tried it on your particular watch, as I have never owned it but I've used it on my SMPs and POs without issue. Much easier than the other tools suggested (which I have also used and ended up deforming a bezel) and it has never caused any scratches or damage.

Some people put a piece of plastic over the bezel before mounting the tool to prevent marks but I've never bothered doing so and haven't had a problem.

Seems odd to use a crystal remover for a bezel but once you try it, you'll see how great it works. Feel free to look up some YouTube videos on how to use it for bezel removal.

This is the tool to use. This is the type of tool Omega uses. I have one and it works perfectly. They come in a set with different sizes.

That IS the tool to have. A very different league than the generics.

How much did that bad boy set you back?

I don't have the Omega version. I have one of the Chinese copies. It works perfectly.

The similar one I bought off Amazon is not as nice - very thin donuts and very difficult to use. Regardless, my crystal remover works flawlessly
