Authentic, but not recommended. An unattractively aged dial and a worn case.

Yes. Rough dial. Even movement looks a bit lackluster

Thanks for the reply!

Would a restoration on this piece be pricey?

I suggest you spend some time reading the sticky threads and following other threads on the forum to educate yourself generally about vintage watches. It will be time well-spent, and you will be in a better position to make a purchase.

So I’m also new to the forum and new to vintage Omega. Although I have some experience with vintage Rolex l’m a novice regarding Omega. I couldn’t agree more with the comments urging you to spend time learning as the investment will save you time and money. Further there are members here that know their stuff and are fair and willing to help. Good luck, I included a pic of a Seamaster 14390-7 SC 1960 I purchased from a seller here on this forum. It ticked the boxes for me most importantly, I really like it!

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. If any one sees a good deal on a good seamaster, or if there are any trusted dealers/seller to browse, let me know!
In the mean time, I'll continue hunting and learning

Welcome Stas. +1 to all the above, we all start somewhere and this is a good place to learn, and buy from trusted people. You can browse the classified’s and PM any seller if you see something you like.

Hello and welcome.
You will see this in a few places, but from one relatively new member to another. I love a nice ‘aged dial’ but now my favorite vintage watches are those as close to looking original and new as possible. The subjective difference being I really like this watch vs I love this watch. I still rotate my patina dials, but when wearing a really nice close to new looking face it’s like this is so wonderful. So, my advice is wait for a really nice one that you can afford, run it by the forum and you decide. There’s a reason some members only have a few watches in their collection.

Everyone take care.

I really like this dial.

I really like this dial.

That is very similar to what I had in mind

I'm still very new here as well, I can say without a doubt though this forum has a ton of knowledgeable and friendly folks. I definitely second Brian's sentiment on the waiting for the right deal. You'll be very temped to jump on something, but don't be pressured with false urgency and ask lots of questions and get lots of pictures (looks like you already did that). Before you know it you'll find a watch you love for the right price!

Edit: 69th post, obligatory Eyyyyyyy
