I was also curious how this watch would look on a Color 8 (Alden) mil-style strap I have that I got from DaLuca. The strap is oversized for this watch (it's for a 23mm citizen). It looks a touch "too chunky" against the boot, but on the wrist it looks pretty good, and it is just obscenely comfortable. I think the Color 8 works great with the face, I just wish that leather was something I could get away with wearing every day in every situation.

...and on a Zuludiver velcro I have laying around. I'm not sure what I think of the stripe color with this watch for daily wear?- but in general I love this strap. Velcros are just ridiculously comfortable and infinitely adjustable.

My wife ordered me a handful of straps to play with from CNS, Maybe some of those will be fun.

Love this watch!

Although some aesthetically pleasant variants have already been shown here, I'm not a big fan of leather straps on sports watches, especially not on divers. Leather is not the most suitable material and does not fit the sporty character and purpose (sweat, water) of such a watch. I prefer to wear bracelets and if it should be something else then exclusively NATOs or rubber.

I agree. There's absolutely no way it's suitable for me for even hourly wear on a daily basis.

Also an owner of this lovely watch (first gen version), and in the year I've had it I've added a few C&B Chevrons and a Jean Rousseau leather strap to the rotation to complement the original bracelet. (The new C&B two-piece NATO is pretty nice too, almost a cross between nylon and canvas.) Back the bracelet: I don't mind the shine so much as its heftiness and how it hangs past the lugs instead of dropping below. People rave of the new model bracelet, but I don't see how I'd acquire one at Omega list prices even if they were made available. Anyone know of quality alternative bracelets for 21mm? I've exhausted my own searching. Neither Forstner nor Uncle Seiko make 21mms. Some dubious looking stuff on Etsy but that's about it. If I had my ultimate wish, I'd love a president or jubilee but coming up empty!

I'm more or less with you on this. Unfortunately I have not seen any 21 mm aftermarket bracelets that fit this watch yet, just as you mentioned. And, per a few users here, the bracelet for the second generation unfortunately does not fit the first generation. I haven't personally verified this, but it's what I've been told.

The one exception is the Omega mesh bracelet that is available through Omega and will fit the 1st gen SM300H, and looks really nice.

I've been rotating mine between a heavy single pass NATO mil-Khaki strap and the bracelet. I don't "hate" the bracelet, but it's definitely the weak point in terms of this watch, everything else is spot on how I want it.

Have an Artem sailcloth strap coming in today, can't wait to try it out.

I’d really like an Artem as well but read they run large and I have a thin 6 1/4 wrist. They do offer a shorter size for some straps, just not for the 21mm sailcloth, of course. A cursed combo!

Yo Cosmos- Put the Artem strap on yesterday. My wrist is "realistically" about 7 1/3" / 18.6cm in diameter. I've got the Artem strap in a hole that has it snug but comfortable. 4 holes remain for tighter settings and it looks like that makes up JUST about 3/4"/ ~2cm of additional downwards adjustment available.

I can't be certain, but even if my watch is currently tightened to 7 1/4", I don't think 3/4" additional play would get you a comfortable fit if your wrist is sitting at 6 1/4".

MAY be that the deployant (I went with standard buckle) allows for tighter settings, but I wouldn't know.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

To add: it's an expensive option and I don't know if you like Mesh, but the Omega mesh bracelet DOES come in different lengths, from what I've heard. I think for me personally I'll wind up with that bracelet for this watch and not often switch it for else, because it will help finish the vintage steel vibe I ultimately want to go for.

That said, this artem strap is ridiculously comfortable now that it's broken in a bit. Keeps the watch exactly where I want it. Super impressed so far, but we're on Day 2, essentially.
