Can members offer me any opinions on this? It says 14k gold and the serial number is 23462778. The price is $1,400. I don't necessarily care about the price, but I don't want to get saddled with a bad dial, Frankenstein, or other abnormalities that I don't know about. TIA, Ken
Now I feel really dumb...it only says 14k on the written description in the advertisement. Where should the 14k engraving be on the watch? Should I enlarge any other pictures for you to see?
I can't see it on any of the pictures. Is it possible that the 14k is concealed by the watchband? The descriptions says: "Beautiful solid gold Omega Seamaster De Ville Automatic men's watch. Stunning 34 mm 14k gold case #LL 6590-1. Nicely aged original silver dial has original applied gold baton hour markers and original gold baton hands."
The color of the crown vs the case plus the interior pictures of the case suggest it's stainless not gold. Maybe the seller made a mistake between other watches he is selling?

Wow! I really appreciate your expertise and feedback! I can't believe how complicated these things are. I've purchased quite a few used cars, but I think buying a pre-owned Omega is much more difficult.
This shot usually tells you something, I just can't read it clearly.
I appreciate you taking your time to comment. Can you tell me what I should be seeing in the picture? I am a novice and don't know what to look for. I'm learning as I go along. BTW, can you tell me the significance of one "T" to the right of Swiss Made on some of these Omega watches?
you can see the hallmark in the top left lug of this pic.
your lugs are narrower at the back, so the hallmark is likely somewhere else, possibly inside the case, or a different position outside.
here is a 14k one on ebay more like yours.Omega Seamaster DeVille c.1965 34mm Gold 14k
Yours looks steel to me, but read the inside caseback.
