Looking for an unpolished 176.007 case

Hey folks. My first time posing here. I inherited a beautiful Seamaster 176.007, but the case was polished at some point, removing the brushed-metal top and dulling the edges. I wanted to find a new (old) case to replace it with, even if it's not perfect. Does anyone have one to sell or knows of someone who might?
Thanks.

Why not post some pictures of the watch - are your sure the case is beyond saving?

What is the case material? If it is steel can it be saved by some good welding/refinishing?

I'm not sure. I'll post some pics for you to judge.

I've never had a watch refinished or welded. Is that something I can do by sending it back to Omega?

What end link numbers are fitted on the bracelet. Also maybe take a photo showing the back and the case lugs.
It looks like the 11pm case lug has almost been removed?

As an aside if the watch was worth say £1500 what is your budget for service and repair? This might not be a practical project (not that it has to be) for sure I would not send it back to Omega. What is your location?

First - don't reply to people asking to buy

Second. There are some that can brush the case. I tend to avoid this type of case, so maybe someone can recommend someone

Could also just leave the case as is.

Omega will be expensive, they will possibly replace all the parts that make it valuable (or what it's worth) and it most likely won't add anything to it's value once they do

Don what are you talking about?! Don’t reply to people looking to buy? If the guy is buying on new case and he wants to sell his old one why not answer a guy wanting to buy it?! You also say you aren’t into brushing a case, that’s you, you don’t like it but I don’t recall anyone asking if you like it and you do know it adds more value to restore the watch right?!
