That one is a bit better than the last one I saw I think. There's definitely something wrong with the shade but the real issue is that the gradient does not look like it was applied correctly. It would probably be pretty tough to tell unless you had a real one to compare though.

Unfortunately, the bracelets are worth more than the fakes themselves and that's why they're so prolific on eBay

No idea how the Summer Blue looks in real life as I've only seen the Diver 300M Summer Blue in person, but these were the photos posted with captions added by me.

Well gosh, if that isn't a pretty good fake. I bet looking at the back might be helpful, but other than 2 very small things that I'm unsure of, I'd be unable to spot it.

The back engraving isn't as crisp, it's a couple images up. Ev3n my bad picture of my caseback earlier in the thread has better polish. The main tell seems to be in the way the gradient is applied- these dials are spun and the centrifugal force draws the particles of texture/color away from the center. That causes the gradient. It doesn't look the same in the images above.

It's hard to see though.

REAL:

Also, the summer blue lume and inset numbers aren't exactly the right shade.

Ahhh, I just got back from Summer vacation. I missed some fun here!

@ErichPryde is correct in noticing the missing ridges on the underside of the endlinks-- you were indeed sold a fake.

It's easy to research the fakes that are being sold online-- all the "replica" SM300 Heritages all happen to have the ridge-less same endlink and are mated incorrectly with the 20mm STZ001159 clasp. You're the second person in the last 2 months that I've talked to on here that got scammed by an eBay seller (which is quick to accept a return to protect his reputation to continue scamming) with multiple fake bracelets being sold at real prices, as well as other fake straps/bracelets from brands like AP and Patek.

Who'd you get it from on eBay? There's one guy from Germany and another from Israel that is known to be doing this en masse.

Fake SM300 Heritage with the same smooth endlink as yours. Same GIJ factory code on the bracelet and HJE on clasp:

The STZ001159, though irrelevant because it's not the correct clasp for this bracelet, is easy to spot as fake since the factories in China haven't adjusted their fonts yet. I think the very early genuine models had the "9" in STZ001159 with the curved tail (don't quote me on this), but every genuine example I've seen for years has the straight "9" tail.

Fake (look at the 9 and the bad Omega anti-counterfeit logo touching the triangle):

Genuine:

AVOID EBAY FOR OMEGA BRACELETS/STRAPS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
Thanks for all the knowledge! Lesson learned here for me, pretty new to the world of this (bought the 300 heritage new from omega in oct 24) and at £550 it didn’t seem too good to be true, naively I guess!
Will loop back here once refund is confirmed and name the seller & confirm that they did refund, but I suspect this is the Israeli chap you mentioned.
I’ve gotta say from the moment it arrived the quality felt just off, I’ve got the omega mesh strap (straight from AD with initial watch purchase) and a Rolex on oyster and the links just felt a touch sharp on the edges, and loose in the side to side plane, if you get what I mean.

Hi all, I sold my 2018 300 Heritage a couple of years ago and regretted it later. I recently purchased a 2021 model same spec, Liquid metal, 8400 movement etc but with the leather strap. I noticed in this link the new bracelet will not fit the older model, can anyone confirm the part number for the older version. Many thanks.

It's 020STZ000768 for the bracelet that goes on the stainless steel 8400 version, but it's sometimes referred to by its bracelet marking of STZ001145 or its clasp reference of STZ001154 (clasp reference appears on other bracelets, so be careful there).

That's another Omega bracelet that's commonly faked so be cautious of where you source it.

Many thanks indeed for the info, the Seamaster 300 is my daily wearer fitted with a sailcloth strap, a rugged and waterproof combination. Here in Scotland that is what is required. I had a quick look on line and the STZ000768 is retailing new at approx $1200 US. I should have bought it with the bracelet and then fitted the strap. Never mind, live and learn.

Kind regards

Peter.

Check for the price of the all brushed Spectre version of the bracelet. When I bought one about 7 years ago from an AD it was $250 cheaper than the polished and brushed one. Still pricey, though.

Online prices are marked up. Call your local Omega Boutique to order it for around $800 USD new. You used to be able to find used examples around the $500 USD price, but it's a minefield nowadays.

Again thanks for the information. Next time I am in town I will pop into the local Omega dealer and make an enquiry, I bought a 3861 from them two years ago, this could help. The watch came with the original leather strap and buckle never used still in its packaging; I may sell and go towards the bracelet. I am always amazed at the cost of Omegas straps.

Regards

Peter.

Hi all. Just to follow up, and get the info of the counterfeit seller out there, so no one else gets burned like i did. its tore.il2015. Having finally received the return (!) hes claiming the bracelet is too damaged to re-sell and he won't refund, despite claiming previously that he would (I suspect to prevent me leaving a negative review before the window closed). I'd say he seems to be an experienced fake seller and is selling a host of different brands, but somehow has hugely positive feedback. Guess this is a lesson learned for me!

To add more - it's clearly a fake given I've now got the legit band from the Omega dealer - this one just feels SO much nicer to wear, its hard to describe. Its a great addition to the other bracelets for this watch I've got!

Are there any good places to post the counterfeiter? I've reported to eBay but lets be realistic they're likely to do nothing!

Ebay can make it right if you initiated the return on time.
