Hello! I'm looking for a manual winding omega vintage watch(the richer the story, the better). I'm kind of new to omega watches, so any recommendation are appreciated.

I'm mainly looking for movements used from ww2 to maybe the 80s. Some vintage watches that I know of are the www, fat arrow, thin arrow, ck2292, HS8. I'd really like to own a www because of the story behind it, but the originals are really hard to find.

That’s a long period of time encompassing many watches. Can you narrow it down a bit further in terms of what you’re looking for? Here are a number of vintage Omega watches from my collection spanning the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. All are manual wind calibers but they are otherwise quite different. What appeals to you?

Sounds like you wants a military-issued Omega. If you want a WWW, then that's what you should get. Just study up and be patient. They're not impossible to find.

Yeah, but whether a military issued watch could still withhold everyday use is another problem. And also the authenticity for them are hard to tell

Let them start with something not made of unobtainium.

Like a nice issued Ref. 2179 or 2384 “US Army” model:

There are some excellent watches in the private sales section right now with great military history. Expand outside of Omega when you look at some of the listings.

I shall endeavor to post fewer photos of it. Still, Tony C.’s are better still and he has more than one. Damn that guy.

Yes, @seekingseaquest’s Geneve is gorgeous. The old cursive Geneves from the 1950s and early 1960s are some of my favorite vintage Omegas. Not easy to find in top condition, but worth the hunt.

And when you catch one, you'd be foolish to let it go.
