I have the wrong bracelet on my 1968 speedy and would like to get the correct one. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

How about you dive into the forum, participate, and after 200 meaningful posts you'll actually be able to post such a want-to-buy in the right section and respect the forum rules at the same time 馃榾

A picture of the watch in question would be a good start for sure!

200 posts before I may ask if someone has a specific bracelet for sale?
Sorry I disturbed your club. Will look elsewhere.

Waou. Let's keep calm here. OF is a calm "club". But "Hi OF" for a first post would have been welcome 馃え. And a nice pic is probably a good way to go further! 馃槈

Yes, that's correct. See the rules at this link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/ple...s-rules-for-all-listings-inc-parts-wtb.62372/

If you see one for sale, you can send the seller a private message, but want-to-sell and want-to-buy posts are restricted to members with a substantial history as part of the community. The moderators put a lot of effort into making this a safe place. You are welcome to join the "club" ... or not.

obviously it's a long time to write 200 posts without trolling.
but the goal is to learn, to give your opinion, to progress and above all to get to know each other in order to create a climate of trust.

it's a forum with a sales section, not an ad site.
so yes you can see a club there, but I haven't seen many that were so welcoming and benevolent.
I think many members would be interested in seeing pictures of your watch and knowing its history. that would be a good start 馃榾

if not for dehumanized commercial relations there is Ebay and Chrono24

Will look elsewhere.
Seems like a sensible idea

I have a 1039/516.

I wear it on my 1969 Speedmaster.
The reference is important, but it should have the right date stamped on the clasp too, IMHO.
Not easy to find anyway, but you could switch to a ref. 1116 with 575 end links (so called Nixon band).
This is a picture of my one owner, all original 145.022-68 Transitional
The 1116 is a little easier to find, much better built and still not so expensive.
Just my two cents.

Cheers

The right date stamped on the clasp? What are you getting on about? You're not suggesting that the watch and the bracelet must be date stamped alike to matter? My Speedmaster is a 145.022-69 and the clasp has 3/70 stamped on it. What more could I ask for?

I do like the 1116, though. Kind of similar to the later 1479.

It is known that the date stamped on the Omega band clasp has always to be later than the one of the watches reference.
In your case for a 145.022-69 a band stamped 3/70 (third quarter 1970) is the right one!
By the way the ref. 1116 band has no dates stamped on it but there are 3 different clasp versions and if I remember well
at least 2 different ways to add or remove the bands links.

Cheers

in 1968, speedmasters had a 1035/506, or 1039/516 or 1116/575 (see image from the mstanga table). Search Chrono25 or eBay or this Sales corner for offers.

PS: Suggest you change your approach, you will benefit if you are interested in Omega watches. This forum has a range of expertise in all areas Omega, like nowhere else.
