Dome dials could have and have been seen with either in early advertising so no 😉

Ask, how long the band is. If it fits you, start at 730 and stop at 820. Good luck ! Kind regards. Achim

I’d pass on this. The case is soft, the dial looks poor (on a sports watch I can take a bit of patina. On a dress watch I want a nice clean dial) and as above there are some mismatched colours in the movement suggesting this may have had a hard life and water ingress.

+1 for water damgage, look at those screw heads:

As pointed out before the dial looks quite patinated even in this bad lighting

Well all that being said I like it.
I’ll post the “horrific” real life pics when I get it 😀
Obviously the dial is rough but I don’t see a soft case to be honest.
Anyways thanks again everyone

I know now that my very first post should have read

“for $900ish USD what do you think?”

Don't get yourself in that spot where you think the watch is tired. It's an oldie and not all of them lived their lives in a drawer or in arid climates. The majority of vintage stuff will look like yours does. Myself and many others enjoy a dial with natural aged patina and your case is showing it's age and history appropriately. Get her serviced and lubed and wear it. Big plus is the bracelet too 👍

Well thank you sir! That’s all I was thinking, get it serviced and wear it. I like a heavily patina’d dial.
I appreciate your comment!

The first post of “maybe for a hundred bucks” was just so helpful

I don't agree. Maybe to sell on later, but not appropriate to this watch, and a bracelet on a dog-leg Constellation always looks wrong to me.

Main thing is to be happy with it.

I think the dial and case look fine for a watch of this age and a decent watch repairer can sort out the movement, seals and running issues (if there are any). It is, after all, a classic Omega.

I look forward to seeing the actual photos once you get it - both before and after service.

Well dog-legs were available on bracelets...
