Hi all,

Just bought a 1947, 35.5mm Longines Ref 5483 Sei Tacche, 12.68N movement and Tap 8, and starting the search for a decent replacement crown.

If anyone has one or could point me in the right direction be much appreciated. Also, is there any watch repairer in the UK that specialises in vintage Longines?

Thanks,
Richard

That is a neat watch. "Swiss Made" is sort of unusual. I am curious about which country it was originally invoiced to. Maybe the UK? I am not certain about a source for those crowns. In terms of a watchmaker in the UK, @Mitka has serviced quite a few vintage Longines as per his great "Work library". Here is his website: https://mitka.co.uk/mitka-watch-shop-terms-and-conditions/

I have a 12.68n with a similar dial but in a 33mm case. The crown diameter is 6.2mm. It needs an original seconds hand if anyone knows where to get one. It dates from 1946 and was originally sold in Czechoslovakia.
