·I get it. This is an Omega forum. But on both WUS and the Longines reddit sub, talk about the new Hydroconquest is pervasive. I got caught up in it and ordered one for myself. The AD I ordered from said no one can keep them in stock. I ordered black with black bezel on the 3 link bracelet. Picture is representative only. Mine's not expected until next month. Looks a lot like an homage to a Tudor Pelagos.

it appears that Longines is hot. Last winter my nephew wanted to get a good watch after having graduated from college, getting a good job, and then getting an even better job. He wasn't ready for the cost for an Omega, so here is what he bought:
The kid did pretty well I think.

·I impulse-purchased this last weekend when picking another watch (NOMOS) up from service. I immediately took it off the mesh, but I've been wearing it all week on a NATO and i love it.

·The store I got it from had this, its 42mm sibling, and a "hulk" in stock. They said they still can't keep the black dial/blue bezel in stock.
They've also ordered the H-link bracelet for me. $425 isn't too unreasonable as OEM bracelets and straps go, and I'm surprised and disappointed that I haven't found a decent aftermarket bracelet with fitted end links on the market yet.
Bottom line, this is going to see a lot of carefree wrist time, I think.

The new ones are definitely an improvement including the clasp
