From a 33mm watch to a 35mm tre tacche:
- original watch sold at Italian auction on May 19, 2018.
-The watch then got sold on Ebay out of Italy for 900 euros over the past year - purchased by a US West Coast base collector who resold it within a few months.
- now resurfacing on a tre tacche.
Unfortunately I lost some of the pics when my phone broke down but there are enough left.
At the bottom, another example of the same reference- posted by a private collector on the Italian forum O&P. (Credit unknown sorry- I’ve had the picture for a while).

Very impressive, @Syrte ! Thank you for sharing this. What a terrible transplant. The 1930's-style dial does not look right in that 1940's 3T case. The seller even got the caliber name wrong in the title of his listing. A real shame.

and another one of those - offered at a stratospheric price above 5000 USD from Japan.

Listed as year 1935, with serial number obfuscated but the listing says it's 53xxxxx -consistent with other examples.

very interesting Syrte and it seems these Longines can be just as dangerous a mine field as the old Rolexes. Thanks for the info and for sure I will check with you if I come across any of these in my travels.
