I’ve got two of these.

So far as the white dial is concerned, I’ve never had a problem matching a strap.

But with my black dial, none of the leather straps seem to work for me. The original black is too funereal and a variety of browns, tans etc, haven’t quite cut it for me.

I’m not normally a bracelet fan but @dougiedude posted his vintage Conquest today and I thought his bracelet pretty much nailed it.

I remembered that in my overflowing watchstrap box I had an ‘aftermarket' 'Omega' bracelet that I once wasted about £30 on.

But, I think it looks okay. What does anyone else think?

(Sorry for the dusty crystal photos)

Looks good! Bracelets work well with black dials.

With straps I like how light brown/whisky compliments a black dial.

Somehow, you absolutely nailed the end links. Terrific!

Yes!

That bracelet looks great!

The only leather strap that I think works with a black dial in general is light or medium brown 👍. Preferably with a sheen to it.

As always, your mileage may vary 😁.

Pairing a black dial with straps can be a challenge. Here some inspiration perhaps. Apologies for the bad quality, quickly took a picture before leaving for work this morning.

I also have trouble pairing my black dial watches with leather straps. Bracelets are indeed often the best option.

Great combo there, it fits it very nicely, and as said by others, end links look great.

I beg to differ 😀

Looks good👍

I too like to pair black dials with other strap colors. (Below owblood and dark khaki green).

Light grey and discrete orange (fx Bulangs 'city orange') work on my black vintage watches.
