Hello OF

I've been looking for a nice 18k conquest from the 50s for a while now.
As you may know its not easy to find one with an acceptable case. Maybe I found a good example! 😁

Specifications:
Ref 9001-3
Serial: 9'698'978 -> 1956 (Seller has Extract)
Movement: 19AS

The dial seems to be in good condition.
It may have some patina in the center of the watch (waiting for a better picture).
The case looks good (seller claims totally unpolished but its not perfect imo).
Medallion isnt broken nor damaged.
You guys think the dial is relumed? I think the radium tends to a darker colour normally.

The watch comes with a box but it doesnt seems correct to me.

The seller claims he bought it from an austrian collector in May 2023. The watch was was serviced prior to this and keeps good time +- 15 seconds a day.

He is asking CHF 2'800, which seems to be the top of pricing these watches.

Waiting impatiently for your comments😀

Thanks
Brian

It looks good, and original, to my eye. For that kind of money, though, I would like to see the movement, as well.

Thanks Tony
Asking the right questions…
The lug on the top right lugs a bit thinner than the others. But its different again on other pictures - i assume its just the angle.

The watch appears to be in very good (or better) condition overall, and the movement appears not to have been abused by any watchmaker. The case may have seen some light polishing, but the chamfers on the lugs appear to be intact, which is a good sign.

Given its condition, and the current value of gold, I would say that the price is not out of line.

Thanks for you feedback Tony, I am happy to hear that you like the watch aswell. The seller even dropped the price a bit - i will most certainly go for it…I‘ll keep you updated.

Looks like a very nice example overall, those cases are often generously polished 😀
