Hi all, found this at a local strip mall joyeria. I'm not too knowledge about this era of Omega. Anything special here? He was asking $950, serviced, likely with a lot of room to negotiate. Thanks!

I am not a real expert, but it looks to be a decent example of a gold plate dressy Seamaster. The only thing particularly special is the price, for the seller. The price should be half of what he/she is asking.

Micron gold plated/stainless steel backed Omega are at the very bottom of the Omega value/desirability scale, value here would be about $325-375 US, since it appears to be in pretty good condition. Asking price would be acceptable for one in solid gold.

Check the forum on this MB for private sales to perhaps gain perspective on what prices are out there. Let me say that the dial looks good, the case hadn’t lost its sharp detail from overzealous buffing, and the plating appears to be intact. It has an Omega crown. Case back not all chewed up.The strap looks like genuine lizard, and looks new. If there is a receipt from a professional repair shop, and there is a warranty with it, that is good. Most important, you appear to like it. I am amazed at times at the spread between what two people (a seller and a potential buyer) might think a watch is worth! Dicker a bit, and let us know the result.

Great advice, thanks! It does look nice. GP ruins it for me though. Maybe if it were GF or GC. I'll look for that first thing next time. Thanks everyone!

At the right price, someone would probably be happy to have it as a watch for dressy occasions. It's in really good condition.

The price they are asking is roughly twice the street value. A fine looking example of a common reference, with what looks like an aggressive polishing on the caseback to remove a prior owners engraving. I would pass.
