Limited Edition CK2998...to buy or not?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Speedmaster CK2998 Panda, which is supposedly #3 out of the limited edition run. Thought I'd check with the smart folks on here, if you think this is legitimate or not? Many thanks in advance!
