Hey - I recently bought a Ploprof, and thought I would never wear it, but was so amused by how cool it is. Boy was I wrong I can’t take it off, it wears much much smaller than it is and is just so cool. Let’s see yours and hear your thoughts!

My thought is, why would you buy a Ploprof with the intent to not wear it? 😕
Other than that, I want one, but disagree with the pricing policy. Its like you pay per gram.

If watches are going to be priced like this, I need to stash me some Invictas!

My local watch dealer has been in business 30 years. He used to be an Omega AD until covid hit. Sells a lot of Rolex. He has some incredible vintage stuff stored away. Someone traded in a titanium Ploprof years ago and it's been his daily wearer since. He could wear anything.

They have a certain appeal. Surprisingly comfortable. Kindof a statement that says I like watches and don't care what you think. Like owning a three legged dog.

I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about them. I don't dislike them and think they are cool when I see one (my brother has one and looks great on him. He called me up one day and said "have you seen these?!! They are so awesome I want one!)

They're just not my thing yet. I kindof wish they were. Maybe some day. I'm still too ambivalent about them. But when I see one. I know right away that's a watch guy I want to know.

Congrats on your watch. Wear it in good health. (Don't stare at your watch while driving...)

My question is why won’t they bring this down to human sizes and eat Panerai’s lunch? 40mm titanium. I’m in for a pair.

I didnt have the intent NOT to wear it, I just didnt think I would wear it often. I like it for what it is, and this disease makes drives me to make illogical decisions from time to time.

This was my first thought, but then I realized this is the appeal. If is was a 44 or 46mm watch it wouldn't have the presence is has now.

Wears so comfortable for a large watch.
Gets plenty of wrist time but not while I wear a suit.

I've always liked the design. I'm partial to big, funky 'tool watches.' If I could afford it, I'd love to pick up a vintage one someday. I do also think that the current editions are fun - I really like the full lume bezels on several of the models.

Would love to see more pics and reflections from owners on the forum.

Im entirely with you on that though. The legacy size should stay and anchor the line. Expand 2 more sizes: 42mm and 38mm. ( OK fine. I’ll take 40mm as a compromise) As of now, the entire continent of Asia is sized out of this beauty plus all women.

of course I’m hating because…7” wrist. God damn. I want one.

Ok. Let's talk Ploprofs. This one just arrived from the motherland. I had it serviced earlier in the year, but water tightness was not assured. I sent it to Bienne and they gave it a ground up restoration. There is nothing like these. True, this one has "service parts" (many). Nevertheless, I love it. Without further ado. Pics snapped within the past couple of hours, immediately after collecting it from the Fedex depot:

Edit - PS, my "puck" training over the past few days paid off. I can barely tell this is on my wrist 😀 !

Looks great on you. You wear the watch as opposed to the watch wearing you. I'm jealous.

Double meme worthy

I am interested in one, but I wear my watches on my right wrist, and I was worried about the crown/guard digging into my right wrist too much. Looking at the picture, I'm guessing it is not too much of an issue for him?

I see him regularly and he never mentioned discomfort. He seems to like it as he always wears it, during the day and at every party or hanging out. Worth trying one on one.

Hi everyone. I wear my 2022 Ploprof as the daily wearer and it’s superb in titanium. Very easy to wear and comfortable. I even have another that’s brand new and a full set as a spare!! Don’t ask why!
Great watches

My question is why won’t they bring this down to human sizes and eat Panerai’s lunch? 40mm titanium. I’m in for a pair.

People who haven’t handled one, or tried one on, think they’re huge. But they’re really just a 42 mm (or so) diver with a bit more material sticking out the side. And mainly just on the crown side. The lug-to-lug is only 48 mm, and in Ti, they’re really light. They are a bit thick, but you adjust to the shape and thickness quickly. The first day wearing one, again, it can feel a bit jarring, but give it a couple of days in a row, and other watches just seem strangely shaped and too flat, haha. Anyway, I did actually go for a pair, as I have the orange one, and also the black dialed version. They’re my favorite watches of all-time. Since I’ve had them, I’ve developed the idea that there’s really only (watch enthusiast) life before-PloProf, and after. Hope those who are curious get to try one out, sometime. They’re very special, and every time you take it out, is an occasion.

PS: Congrats to the OP. The gray bezel version is stunning. It shares the solid Ti dial, with my orange one. (Have you noticed the little “Ti” on the dial?) That finely textured pattern is so beautiful, IRL, that I find myself staring at it all the time. Like a lot. Cheers.
