I find the Ploprof is the comfiest watch I’ve had and have. I have a JC and this is better i feel. The are light and, contrary to misconception, the apparent bulk doesn’t dig in to the wrist or nip the skin. It just feels ‘right!’ Both mine are the same: 2022 and full set in titanium - i bought one believing my son in usa would like it. And he didn't! Oh well.

My brother visited and let me try on his Ploprof (7.25 in wrist):

Here it is on my wife:

People who haven’t handled one, or tried one on, think they’re huge. But they’re really just a 42 mm (or so) diver with a bit more material sticking out the side. And mainly just on the crown side. The lug-to-lug is only 48 mm, and in Ti, they’re really light. They are a bit thick, but you adjust to the shape and thickness quickly. The first day wearing one, again, it can feel a bit jarring, but give it a couple of days in a row, and other watches just seem strangely shaped and too flat, haha. Anyway, I did actually go for a pair, as I have the orange one, and also the black dialed version. They’re my favorite watches of all-time. Since I’ve had them, I’ve developed the idea that there’s really only (watch enthusiast) life before-PloProf, and after. Hope those who are curious get to try one out, sometime. They’re very special, and every time you take it out, is an occasion.

PS: Congrats to the OP. The gray bezel version is stunning. It shares the solid Ti dial, with my orange one. (Have you noticed the little “Ti” on the dial?) That finely textured pattern is so beautiful, IRL, that I find myself staring at it all the time. Like a lot. Cheers.

Isn’t it upside down on a couple of those pics? 😕

Hah! All upside down. I was focused on taking pics to show the size and didn’t even pay attention to the crown. 😟

Hey, at least you know how to post them. I don’t ::facepalm1::

They are cracking watches - hence why I have 2!!!

All the best!

Where is the Ti on the dial please??

jim

Do you have either the gray or orange bezeled versions? Only they have the Ti dial. They also say “Ti” on the dial, where the other versions have the symbol for ceramic. The dial, and a couple of other minor details, are why those two versions cost a bit more. FWIW, you can just about see it in my photo, above, of the orange one.

I love the PloProf -- a diver mate of mine has one and swears by it as an everyday wear (he's an engineer). They're not easy to find here in Canada outside of the lone boutique or odd adventurous AD, but I tried a few on at the 5th Ave boutique a while and absolutely loved it. Reminds me a bit of those great big classic Doxas in its on-wrist fit, and the bezel grip and feel are superb.

What can look a bit ungainly in some photos looks and feels wonderful on the wrist IME. Very tempted to make it my next modern Omega after breaking up with my AT 41mm.

You will be delighted, honestly. If you were in uk you could have tried my unworn one to see what you think. Pity you’re not. We need to spread the word of how good these pieces are!

Couple of other small differences: the orange bezel release pusher is solid orange ceramic, on the orange bezeled model, whereas it is orange anodized aluminum on all other versions. And the lume triangle is also different on the orange bezeled version. Cheers.
