Just joined forum today. Been a long time watch fanatic aspiring to be a WIS. Purchased first Omega in 2011 not sure why it's taken me this long to join but look forward to sharing my passion- dare I say obsession- with you all.

Welcome. Nice photo and who could blame you for having a beautiful woman attached to your left wrist instead of a watch 馃檮

On a personal observation, the first step to being a WIS is to surrender yourself (followed closely by your wallet) to the inevitiabie fact that by simply joining OF you are a WIS and the rest will follow. 馃槣馃槣馃榿

"Yep, got yer boots on 馃憤 . Wait ? What? Laces" 馃槻

Those are Allen Edmonds saddle oxfords.

The boots stay in the closet if I can help it. I'm probably the only born and bred Texan who doesn't care for the boots and will not be seen in a western hat.

Post a photo of yourself...not just your watches. I don't care much for having my picture taken, but my wife makes up for what I lack.

Well, the last one in was pure luck, but the first two were called.

Here's a video with called shots all around.

Oh, and I don't remember what I was wearing either time, but pretty sure it was an Omega on both occasions.

The reason I'm looking at my watch after making the shot is to record the time so that Jim (the guy wearing a cowboy hat) can download the video from the security cameras.

A pocket watch wouldn't be quite as convenient ;-) . . .

But you're USN, not RN, what gives with your nickname?

Hah! The hotel in Richmond rather than the model of AE shoe.

Yes, it is the Jefferson Hotel.

The "nautical" signifies the USN part, "RN" for staff corps officer, I'm am ER Nurse. Our motto is "We deal in Trauma not Drama."

Gotta say, when DC was Murder Capital of the US back in the 90s (and before we had a war on) we used to get corpsmen and nurses from Bethesda rotating in the trauma bay at DC General, and they took to it like a duck to water. And they used to call me "Sir." No complaints from me - Go Navy!

Started out as a Corpsman then got "converted to the dark side" as they say.
