No PM necessary! It's one of the homes built for faculty housing at the school where I teach. They were designed by Eliel Saarinen, and all built in the late 1920s when the school was opened. They're semi-detached, with garages in the back between each pair of houses. I'm lucky to live in one!
Did a little research and found out he designed the Cranbrook school in Bloomfield Hills. I was just in that area doing a job. Having grown up in Michigan I always knew about the school but had never seen it...it's gorgeous

That's the place! I've been on the Cranbrook faculty for 23 years and counting. A great place to work, to live, and to raise my kids. I'm very fortunate to be here.

Any ΩF members who are in the area, living or visiting, are welcome to contact me for a personal tour of the campus and a drink and dinner afterwards!

I will absolutely take you up on that when the covid thing blows over. We can wear our speedys! I'm sure my brother, the architect, would love to accompany.

Edit: you've just got to give me an idea of your drink preference. Mom taught me to never arrive as a guest empty-handed 😀

Out for a run today and snapped these.
In the last 2 photographs but primarily in the middle of the last, the brown smear is actually the shadow of the reflection of Catalina Island on the bottom of the clouds.

It's been almost 2 decades and I still can't believe I get this view out of my bedroom window.
